Randall Scott is an internationally
known wildlife artist, who was born in Southern California, and has been
published for over ten years by Wild Wings of Lake City Minnesota. His
passions are painting (both his parents are accomplished artists) and
scuba diving (he is a professional scuba diver) and Randall has created
a nice career combining both of these talents. Randall Scott paints underwater scenes realistically, "I want to give people an opportunity to sea ocean life as it really is, as if you would be going down with a mask for the first time". He searches his subjects through observation and underwater photography. His travels have taken him all over the world. Probably the high point of those travels were the month he spent diving in Truk Lagoon (scene of hellish World War II fighting) and Palua, Micronesia in 1998. He has created a series of eight underwater World War II era wrecks that have become quite popular. These airplanes include: a P-51, a Japanese Zero, a P-38, a B-25 Bomber, a Dauntless Dive Bomber, a P-40, a ME-109, and a F4U Corsair. The newest airplane to date is a TBF-1 Avenger (see photo below). For a serious scuba diver, diving these wrecks is more exciting than anything other than perhaps finding a wrecked Spanish Galleon. Owing to our close association with Randall, we often are able to source hard to find or sold out pieces, and have access to his artist proof series. In addition, we generally have some gorgeous original paintings, both large and small hanging in the Gallery. Please call the Gallery with any inquiries relative to his limited edition lithographs and his original paintings. Commissions are available. |
